Carpet Edge Trim
Carpet edge trim for use where the carpet is higher than the hard floor or the carpet comes to an end.
For example, along the edge of a banister, in to a cupboard or room where you need to end the carpet, or for carpet to LVT or vinyl flooring where the carpet is higher than the vinyl or LVT
This carpet edge trim will not dent and bend like the cheaper aluminium ones you see lots of
This type of door bar gets lots of wear due to the locations it’s used in.
So it needs to be well-made, our carpet edge trim is solid brass and hand finished in a choice of 10 great colours
Use for:
- Carpet to floorboards
- Carpet to LVT (luxury vinyl tiles)
- Carpet to vinyl
- Carpet edge (along an open balustrade, perhaps)
- Carpet end (maybe in a Cupboard)
In these situations, the Carpet Edge Trim will give you an attractive, hard-wearing, high-end, clean finish to your flooring.
- Our choice of standard finishes is: Antique Brass, Antique Bronze, Brass, Satin Brass.
- Choice of specialised finishes: Brushed Chrome, Chrome, Pewter, Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel and Black.
- Choice of length: 90cm (36″), 180 (71″) and 270cm (106″)
Fitting
When used with underlays 6mm or less fit our carpet edge trim directly to the floor.
For underlay which is over 6mm you can use the wedges which come with each threshold purchased.
Customers should use the wedges to raise the back of the baseplate, giving a much better finish once the carpet is fitted (as per image above)
You don’t have to use them, but they are there if they are required at no extra charge

Ordering And Delivery
Spend £100 for free delivery
For orders under £100 our delivery charge is £11.94, this is due to the fact that we use thick boxes and tubes to secure your trims, we also attach a timber batten to the longer parcels to help prevent them from damage, these precautions result in a slightly higher shipping price.
Delivery is normally 3-4 working days.
If the delivery date is critical, please contact us for an estimated delivery date.
Care and Maintenance
PLEASE NOTE, ALL BRASS FINISHES ARE ‘LIVING’ FINISHES, WHICH MEANS THAT THEY WILL REACT TO THE ENVIRONMENT.
YOU NEED TO AVOID CONTACT WITH WATER/MOISTURE.
ANY WATER/MOISTURE WILL CREATE MARKS THAT OXIDIZE FASTER, AND THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD TO REMOVE WITH THE ABOVE CLEANING METHODS.
ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS WILL DAMAGE THE ABOVE TRIMS, SO PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDES BELOW
Polished Brass
Our Polished Brass profiles are designed to age for a natural finish over time. However, if you want the profiles to stay highly polished, then you will be required to clean them with a suitable metal polish and a soft cloth on occasion. Please protect your flooring on both sides when polishing trims.
Satin Brass
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster. Any small marks or scuffs can be removed by simply using the green side of your dish sponge. Simply start one end of the trim and continue all the way all the profile. Please note, the sponge needs to be bone dry. Do not use any liquids to clean this finish.
Antique Bronze
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster. Heavily soiled spots can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but must be dried immediately.
Antique Brass
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster. Heavily soiled spots can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but must be dried immediately. For the Antique Brass, if you do feel that you want to refresh the trims, you could try Corstons Antique Brass Restoration Kit
Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Satin Nickel, Polished Nickel, Pewter and Black
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster.

Delivery
Our door bars are hand finished to order, therefore production and delivery normally takes 3-4 working days.
Courier charges
For orders under £100 our delivery charge is £11.94, (pipe covers £8.28) this is due to the fact that we use thick boxes and tubes to secure your trims, we also attach a timber batten to the longer parcels to help prevent them from getting bent, these precautions cost extra and result in a slightly higher shipping price. Please be aware that the cheaper couriers do not take our 180cm and 270cm long parcels. this means we are restricted to only a couple of couriers, we do not make profit from the shipping charge, these are actual costs, we hope you can undertand and you agree that spending a few extra pounds for well packaged trims and a realiable service is best for all concerened.

Returns
Returns are excepted within 30 days of delivery only, any returns over 30 days will not be accepted. (Returns must be tracked in case proof of return is required)
**IMPORTANT** When returning trims in their original packaging, please ensure that you put extra packaging tape around the end caps of the tubes to prevent the caps from coming off and trims sliding out. We have had many instances where this has happened, we are unable to claim for this from the carrier, and we are unable to refund trims which do not make it back to us
The buyer is liable for the return postage charges, unless the return is due to damage or the wrong goods have been sent
Returns charges can be expensive when dealing with long and heavy flooring trims, we suggest getting advice from our flooring experts or ordering a free sample before purchase if you are unsure of colours and sizes

Faulty/Damaged Goods
Customers must check deliveries for damage, if damage is clear and substantial, delivery should be refused.
If damage is discovered after an order has been unpacked images should be taken and immediately sent to sales@qualitycarpettrims.co.uk
Faulty or damaged goods should be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Faulty or damaged goods will either be replaced or refunded as agreed
Grace Matthews trading as Quality Carpet Trims will pay any postage costs related to returning or replacing faulty or damaged goods.
In some cases we may kindly ask you to dispose of damaged or faulty goods
