Carpet shims are handy when dealing with a height difference between carpet and a hard floor
The shim fits under your carpet and underlay, forming a smoother transition.
They also provide a raised platform for door bars when a hard floor has been laid, which created a height difference
Carpet Shims, Easy Shims
Easy Shims Carpet Shims have simplified overcoming the problem that exists in almost every home, the difference in heights between flooring.
Carpets can be ramped up to 30mm to give you a smooth, clean, neat, hassle-free transition.
Also, ideal for wheelchair use.
Easyshim Carpet Shims are for use when installing carpet next to hardwood, ceramic tile, stone, and marble floors.
The shims are available in thicknesses of 6mm, 9mm, 12mm, and 15mm.
They are 900mm long and 200mm wide and are designed to be cut to your doorway size on site
The side shims are 200mm wide each side once made
Customers will produce a smooth, level transition in doorways where without use there would be a step or tripping point.
If you select a ‘with side shims’ option you will receive a second shim from which you can quite easily make your own side shims
This means you can purchase single shims, or ‘with side shims’ which will actually give you the two shims
The side shims are normally essential but in some cases, they may not be required
The video below shows how to make your side shims from the extra shim if ordered
As a guide in selecting the correct carpet shim thickness, deduct the thickness of your carpet and underlay from the height of your finished hard floor
The bigger the difference, the thicker the Easyshim you will require.

Ordering And Delivery
Delivery will normally take 3-4 working days from time of order, we will normally use a tracked service, your mobile number or email address will be used for tracking, from the text or email you receive from the courier you can re-arrange the delivery if required

Delivery
Our door bars are hand finished to order, therefore production and delivery normally takes 3-5 working days, but can take 7-10 working days during busy periods.
Courier charges
Please note: Our trims are heavy and well packaged, plus the parcels are long, this means we are unable to send the trims with the cheaper carriers.

Returns
Returns are excepted within 30 days of delivery only, any returns over 30 days will not be accepted. (Returns must be tracked in case proof of return is required)
**IMPORTANT** When returning trims in their original packaging, please ensure that you put extra packaging tape around the end caps of the tubes to prevent the caps from coming off and trims sliding out. We have had many instances where this has happened, we are unable to claim for this from the carrier, and we are unable to refund trims which do not make it back to us
The buyer is liable for the return postage charges, unless the return is due to damage or the wrong goods have been sent
Returns charges can be expensive when dealing with long and heavy flooring trims, we suggest getting advice from our flooring experts or ordering a free sample before purchase if you are unsure of colours and sizes

Faulty/Damaged Goods
Customers must check deliveries for damage, if damage is clear and substantial, delivery should be refused.
If damage is discovered after an order has been unpacked images should be taken and immediately sent to sales@qualitycarpettrims.co.uk
Faulty or damaged goods should be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Faulty or damaged goods will either be replaced or refunded as agreed
Grace Matthews trading as Quality Carpet Trims will pay any postage costs related to returning or replacing faulty or damaged goods.
In some cases we may kindly ask you to dispose of damaged or faulty goods
