Carpet Door Bars For Thick Carpets
The premier trim Carpet Door Bars are luxury door bars for carpet to carpet.
In this case, the carpet to carpet trim is designed to be used with thicker pile carpets (over 13mm) as it is higher than standard trims (use the carpet to carpet door bars for carpets under 13mm thick)
These carpet door bars are solid metal in a beautiful variety of finishes, heavy-duty, real quality carpet trims which will give you a much superior finish.
So, if you have a thick pile carpet, and you’re looking for something a little special when it comes to finishing your carpet, these are the trims for you!
These stunning high-quality trims are also available in standard size for normal carpet pile thickness up to 12mm
- The Choice of standard finishes is: Antique Brass, Antique Bronze, Brass, Satin Brass.
- Or Choose our specialised finishes: Brushed Chrome, Chrome, Pewter, Polished Nickel, Satin Nickel and Black
- Choice of length: 90cm (36″), 180 (71″) and 270cm (106″)

Please note that the trims are priced pro rata, meaning there is no price difference depending on the length you choose, the 270cm trim costs the same as 3 x 90cm trims, however, the 90cm trims usually arrive slightly quicker and are easier to handle.
Fitting
We have a handy video on how to fit these carpet door bars. Please note we no longer use the plywood strips shown in this video, we have updated the trim base to be raised 3-4mm without the need to plywood, therefore making fitting easier. (See diagram in gallery)
Ordering And Delivery
Spend £100 for free delivery
For orders under £100 our delivery charge is £8.99, this is due to the fact that we use thick boxes and tubes to secure your trims, we also attach a timber batten to the longer parcels to help prevent them from damage, these precautions result in a slightly higher shipping price.
Delivery is normally 3-5 working days, however it can take 7-10 working days during busy periods.
If the delivery date is critical, please contact us for an estimated delivery date.
Care and Maintenance
PLEASE NOTE, ALL BRASS FINISHES ARE ‘LIVING’ FINISHES, WHICH MEANS THAT THEY WILL REACT TO THE ENVIRONMENT.
YOU NEED TO AVOID CONTACT WITH WATER/MOISTURE.
ANY WATER/MOISTURE WILL CREATE MARKS THAT OXIDIZE FASTER, AND THIS MAKES IT VERY HARD TO REMOVE WITH THE ABOVE CLEANING METHODS.
ANY CLEANING PRODUCTS WILL DAMAGE THE ABOVE TRIMS, SO PLEASE FOLLOW THE GUIDES BELOW
Polished Brass
Our Polished Brass profiles are designed to age for a natural finish over time. However, if you want the profiles to stay highly polished, then you will be required to clean them with a suitable metal polish and a soft cloth on occasion. Please protect your flooring on both sides when polishing trims.
Satin Brass
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster. Any small marks or scuffs can be removed by simply using the green side of your dish sponge. Simply start one end of the trim and continue all the way all the profile. Please note, the sponge needs to be bone dry. Do not use any liquids to clean this finish.
Antique Bronze
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster. Heavily soiled spots can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but must be dried immediately.
Antique Brass
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster. Heavily soiled spots can be cleaned with a damp cloth, but must be dried immediately. For the Antique Brass, if you do feel that you want to refresh the trims, you could try Corstons Antique Brass Restoration Kit
Chrome, Brushed Chrome, Satin Nickel, Polished Nickel, Pewter and Black
To clean, simply wipe with a dry duster.

Delivery
Our door bars are hand finished to order, therefore production and delivery normally takes 3-5 working days, but can take 7-10 working days during busy periods.
Courier charges
For orders under £100 our delivery charge is £11.94, (pipe covers £8.28) this is due to the fact that we use thick boxes and tubes to secure your trims, we also attach a timber batten to the longer parcels to help prevent them from getting bent, these precautions cost extra and result in a slightly higher shipping price. Please be aware that the cheaper couriers do not take our 180cm and 270cm long parcels. this means we are restricted to only a couple of couriers, we do not make profit from the shipping charge, these are actual costs, we hope you can undertand and you agree that spending a few extra pounds for well packaged trims and a realiable service is best for all concerened.

Returns
Returns are excepted within 30 days of delivery only, any returns over 30 days will not be accepted. (Returns must be tracked in case proof of return is required)
**IMPORTANT** When returning trims in their original packaging, please ensure that you put extra packaging tape around the end caps of the tubes to prevent the caps from coming off and trims sliding out. We have had many instances where this has happened, we are unable to claim for this from the carrier, and we are unable to refund trims which do not make it back to us
The buyer is liable for the return postage charges, unless the return is due to damage or the wrong goods have been sent
Returns charges can be expensive when dealing with long and heavy flooring trims, we suggest getting advice from our flooring experts or ordering a free sample before purchase if you are unsure of colours and sizes

Faulty/Damaged Goods
Customers must check deliveries for damage, if damage is clear and substantial, delivery should be refused.
If damage is discovered after an order has been unpacked images should be taken and immediately sent to sales@qualitycarpettrims.co.uk
Faulty or damaged goods should be reported within 48 hours of delivery.
Faulty or damaged goods will either be replaced or refunded as agreed
Grace Matthews trading as Quality Carpet Trims will pay any postage costs related to returning or replacing faulty or damaged goods.
In some cases we may kindly ask you to dispose of damaged or faulty goods
